Drain cleaners/jetters

High pressure water jetters

We have a range of water jetters that allows us to clean blockages in various pipe sizes. The pipe sizes we are able to clear range in size from 16mm to 750mm in diameter. Our residential jet rodders can reach a pressure output of around 5000psi while our commercial machine will output up to 2500psi and has a higher flow capacity. The difference in the jetters comes down to hose size, pressure and water flow. We believe it’s important to have a range of jetters and nozzles to suit each different situation and client needs.

What can a jetter clean?

Some water jetters are powerful enough to cut through steel. Many plumbers buy cheap jetters that can barely cut out tree roots. When hiring a plumber ensure their jetting equipment is of the highest quality and standard. A good question to as is “can your jetter remove concrete from a pipe?” This will give you a good indication of the strength of their jetter and their level of experience operating the equipment.

Our jetters and nozzles have cleared concrete pipe blockages on many different occasions. Our equipment and experienced technicians are able to remove concrete from pipes. It is important to note that a jetter will not damage PVC pipes like an electric eel can when removing concrete. This is because the concrete is pitted and allows the high pressure water to bite into the concrete surface. Because PVC pipe is smooth, the water is able to deflect off the surface.

Water jetter hose length

The water jetters we use have long hoses that are mounted in the back of our vans for easy access. They are also remote control powered and we find this saves a lot of time on the job. Remote control access is also a lot safer in emergency situations as the machine can be powered down quickly and also features an emergency shut off valve. Hoses that are mounted on a plumbers vehicle can be quickly rolled off and inserted into the pipe. This reduces operation time as the hose reels do not have to be lifted off and carried into place and returned to the vehicle after cleaning has been completed.
