Pipe Relining Byron Bay

Before your plumber picks up the shovel, there may be another solution to your ongoing pipe issues. Pipe relining is a fantastic alternative to the traditional dig up method as it can all be done underground without the need to ruin your landscaping or concrete driveway.

The ‘no dig’ pipe relining process

Pipe relining is essentially placing a new piece of pipe inside the old broken one. Firstly, the pipe needs to be cleaned with a high pressure water jetter and then a CCTV drain camera will be sent in to assess the extent of the damage. Your plumber will then be able to provide an accurate quote to fix the pipe.

Once the quote is accepted, the relining process can be completed by following the below steps:

  1. Your plumber will arrive with a custom prepared patch sized to suit the damaged area
  2. The fabric ‘sock’ will be soaked in resin
  3. A rubber bladder is inserted into the resin soaked fabric liner and inserted inside the damaged area of pipe with the assistance of a CCTV drain camera
  4. The ‘sock’ is inflated to the size of the pipe using an air compressor and left to cure
  5. The patch cures for anywhere between 3 and 6 hours
  6. The fabric sleeve is removed and pipes are able to be used straight away

If you need to fix a broken pipe int he Byron Bay area, consider relining it. Pipe relining is a better and more permanent fix than pipe replacement.
